Red Avenue New Materials adheres to the development strategy of "One Body and Two Wings": "One Body" is for special materials for automobiles/tires, and "Two Wings" deploy new business electronic materials and biodegradable materials. Prof. Xuesi Chen Graduated from the Department of Chemistry, Jilin University in 1982 and from the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 1988, and stayed in the office after graduating. In 1997 he received a doctorate degree from Waseda University in Japan. From 1997 to 1999 he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania. Then he was hired to Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as a researcher and doctoral supervisor. in 2004, he was funded by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. In 2013, he was selected for the Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talents and Ten Thousand Talents Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology. And he was voted as an international biomaterial Fellow of the Engineering Federation. In 2019 he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Xuesi Chen is in charge of the key R&D programs of the Ministry of Science and Red Avenue New Materials during the "13th Five-Year Plan", and also the projects in basic science centers of the National Foundation of Science and Technology, etc. He has published more than 880 research papers, which has been cited for more than 33,000 times, H-factor 94. He has written three monographs, including Biodegradable Medical Polymer Materials, Biomedical Polymer, Biopolymers vol.10 of General Aspects and Special Applications. He has applied for more than 140 patents and granted more than 290. He has won the first Evonik Chemical Innovation Award, the Science and Technology Contribution Award of the Science and Technology Promotion Development Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the sixth Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Award, the Technology Invention Award of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and two first prizes of Jilin Science and Technology Progress Award.

He is engaged in the research and development of biodegradable medical polymer materials, tissue engineering and drug sustained-release, industrialization of polylactic acid and poly-caprolactone, industrialization of polyimide, tumor vaccine, nucleic acid vaccine adjuvant, antiseptic and antifouling coatings and other fields.

We believe that Prof. Chen will play a leading role in the development of our biodegradable materials business. In terms of product application development and platform construction in the field of biodegradable materials, Red Avenue New Materials will continue to develop functional biodegradable polyester, efficient additives and high added value product applications to enhance product competitiveness and brand awareness, and build three development platforms for biodegradable materials research and development, processing and testing, and biodegradable testing. We cooperate with universities, research institutes and other institutions to promote the healthy development of biodegradable materials, and actively participate in the development of biodegradable materials related national standards, local standards, industry standards and group alliance standards.
